The International Society for the Critical Study of Divination (ISCSD) is thrilled to announce its call for participation in the upcoming 27th International Congress of History of Science and Technology, scheduled to take place from June 29 to July 5, 2025, in Dunedin, New Zealand. The international congress, themed “Peoples, Places, Exchanges, and Circulation,” promises to be an enriching platform for scholars and researchers worldwide.
ISCSD, under the coordination of Vice President Marta Hanson, is actively seeking symposia proposals that delve into the diverse dimensions of divination. With the aim of fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and expanding the discourse on divination within the context of the history of science and technology, ISCSD invites its members and scholars interested in the critical study of divination to contribute symposia proposals.
As part of ISCSD’s initiative to become a subsidiary section of the Division of History of Science and Technology (DHST), affiliated with the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science, the Society sees the 27th International Congress as a significant opportunity to showcase the relevance and importance of divination studies in the academic community.
Interested individuals are encouraged to review the symposia proposal guidelines available at https://www.ichst2025.org/call-for-symposia-proposals and to reach out to Vice President Marta Hanson (mhanson4@jhmi.edu) for further information and coordination regarding ISCSD proposals.
